It's been 12 years since the last major update to the site. In that time the web has changed dramatically. The latest update is about modernising the site and making it easier to maintain and update in the future.

Behind-the-scenes re-write

The system which runs the site has been re-written from scratch, recreating everything from the ground up. This will make it easier to maintain and extend in the future. Along the way, I've fixed bugs and made various aspects more secure.

Front-end framework

I have used the latest version of the Bootstrap CSS framework which allowed speedier development, allowing me to concentrate on the back-end features. The new layout allows for better mobile views and wider desktop views. There are also minor updates to various design elements along the way.

Latest plugins

Any plugins used on the site have been replaced by more modern versions or updated to the latest versions.
